Fuels Analysis Research Laboratory

Fuels Analysis Research Laboratory is accredited by the Polish Center for Accreditation (certificate of the accreditation No. AB 1420. The Laboratory applies a management system in accordance with the requirements of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 norm. We perform analyses according to national and international standards (PN, ISO) as well as to the reference methods.

The Laboratory performs analyses of solid fuels like coal, biomass, fuel made from wastes.

Testing Laboratory Fuel Analysis can determine:
  • Total moisture (gravimetric method)
  • Residual moisture (gravimetric method)
  • Ash (gravimetric method)
  • Volatile matter (gravimetric method)
  • Gross calorific value (calorimetric method)
  • Net calorific value (calorimetric method)
  • Carbon (IR absorption method)
  • Hydrogen (IR absorption method)
  • Nitrogen (katharometric method)
  • Total sulfur (IR absorption method)
Testing Laboratory Fuel Analysis equipment:
  • TruSpec Micro CHNSO Leco
  • Calorimeter AC 500 Leco
  • Muffle furnace
  • Drying oven
  • Knife mill for biomass
  • Planetary mill for coal
  • Analytical balances
  • Technical balances
