MDT – Technical Diagnostics and Power Equipment Modernization Laboratory

Technical Diagnostics and Power Equipment Modernization Laboratory conducts research,  performs analysis and expertise  in the following areas:

  • Diagnosis of technical conditions and accuracy of operation of power equipment (boilers, pipelines, turbines)
  • Determination and analysis of reasons for failure of power equipment
  • Assessment of changes in the structure of land in relation to the project stage of boiler-pipeline-turbine systems  and resulting stresses determining
  • Calculation of stresses, thermal expansion joints, torques and forces based on the real data
  • Re-routing of pipelines, assembly loads, high-temperature and high-pressure pipeline slope;
  • Examination of stresses and forces in the critical nods of power unit
  • Verification if fastening selection is adequate to the real acting forces and fastening regulation
  • Measurements of thickness and hardness of  pressure elements
  • Development of modernization plans of the following sets: boiler-pipeline-turbine, based on available documentation and research
  • Assessment of projects and modernization plans of boiler-pipeline-turbine systems according to UDT regulations.  

The team of the Laboratory has the experience necessary to conduct all the above mentioned works as well as  specialized measurement equipment.
