On the 20-22 of October 2021 there was held the 14th International Symposium SYMKOM 2020/2021 IMP² in Gdańsk. During the conference researchers from IEn's Thermal Technology Branch ITC in Łódź (Jacek Karczewski, Joanna Kopania i Patryk Gaj) delivered their scientific presentations.

- Joanna Kopania, Patryk Gaj, Kamil Wójciak: Low-Noise "Bionic" Throttling Damper Dedicated to the HVAC Systems
- Patryk Gaj, Krzysztof Sobczak, Joanna Kopania, Kamil Wójciak: Influence of Shape of Shell of Steam Silencer on Flow and Acoustic Parameters
All presentations will be published in highly ranked scientific magazines preceded by reviews.
The conference follows the tradition of meetings of people who conduct scientific research and development activities in the field of turbomachinery: turbines, compressors and pumps, as well as in the area of modern power engineering technologies, energy storage, wind energy and flow modeling.
