The tool was developed to design SOFC-SNC battery prototype to supply ICT systems. The hybridization allowed to tailor the supply system around the expected load. The battery model consists of two virtual batteries managed by a logic network. The thermal integration was studied to improve the energy conversion efficiency.

The pilot study was conducted at Capo Orlando, Sicily. Results presented in the publication were obtained within the realisation of ONSITE project, which was completed in September 2017. The project was implemented in cooperation with Ericsson, Bonfiglioli Vectron and FIAMM.
