The ferroresonance phenomena occurring in high voltage substation equipped with inductive voltage transformers and multi-gap circuit breakers have been described. The method of estimate of substation configurations on possibility of ferroresonance occurrence are presented. Exemplary results of simulating calculations and analyses of ferroresonance susceptibility are presented for 110 kV substation configuration. Methods for elimination and suppression of ferroresonance phenomena in high voltage substations are presented.
