The Automation and Protection Laboratory operates in the field of power protection automation which includes:

  • testing new structures of protecting devices,
  • developing  new concepts of microprocessor technology applications for protection automation,
  • developing and implementing equipment for protection automation testing and  control,
  • developing, constructing and low-volume, high mix production of untypical protection and equipment for  power protection automation,
  • laboratory and operational testing of securing devices,
  • analysing and expertise authorizing power protection automation devices for use in power generation.

The laboratory staff is a group of experienced researchers and engineers.

The head of the laboratory is Emil Tomczak, M. Sc.
