The 37th Bielsko-Biała International Power Industry Trade Show ENERGETAB 2024 was held on 17-19 September 2024, which, as every year, provided a unique opportunity to learn about modern solutions in the power industry and take part in conferences and business meetings. This year's edition of the fair was special, as it was preceded by a ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of the organiser, ZIAD Bielsko-Biała S.A.

At the official opening, the President of ZIAD Bielsko-Biała S.A., Dariusz Mrzygłód, gave a speech, followed by the presentation of awards for outstanding products. The ceremony was presided over by the chairman of the competition committee, Prof. Jakub Kupecki, DSc, Director of the IEN-PIB.

As always, the ENERGETAB trade fair was full of inspiring talks, innovative solutions and the latest technologies from the energy sector. Thanks are due to all exhibitors, partners and visitors who co-created this unique event. This year's edition was attended by more than 25 representatives of the Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute, including the Gdańsk Branch and the Experimental Department in Białystok.

Participation in the 37th Bielsko-Biała International Energy Fair ENERGETAB 2024 was an excellent opportunity to present the advantages of solid oxide electrochemical (SOC) cell technology and the importance of hydrogen on the road to decarbonisation of the energy and fuel sector. Talks and an exchange of experience with representatives of leading companies in the industry allowed us to learn about their expectations and the challenges posed to our solutions at the commercialisation stage. The Institute's representative, Marcin Błesznowski, PhD, from the Department of High-Temperature Electrochemical Processes, took part in a session on energy storage organised by the PSME Professionals' Forum, where he gave a presentation entitled. ‘Solid oxide electrochemical cells - technology potential and challenges in terms of the development of the hydrogen economy’ - says Prof. Jakub Kupecki, DSc.
