The inauguration ceremony of the HySPARK - Hydrogen Solutions for euroPean Airports & Regional Kinetics project took place on January 15, 2025 at the headquarters of the Warsaw Gasworks Museum. The project, with a total budget of €11.674 million, has received nearly €9 million in funding from the European Commission's Clean Hydrogen Partnership program. It is the first project in Poland dedicated to hydrogen valleys, implemented under a public-private partnership such as CHP. HySPARK is an initiative of an international consortium that includes 15 entities, including the Institute of Energy - National Research Institute (IPE-NRI), which serves as the project coordinator.

As of January 13, 2025, Prof. Jakub Kupecki has completed his tenure as Director of the Institute of Power Engineering – National Research Institute (IPE-NRI). From this date, Professor Kupecki returns to his role as Head of the Department of High-Temperature Electrochemical Processes (CPE), where he will focus on developing energy technologies, securing R&D projects, and engaging in scientific activities.

With deep sorrow and sadness, we announce that on January 10, 2025, Mr. Tomasz Rzepecki passed away at the age of 83. From 1972 to 2011, he served as the Head of the Maintenance Department at Siekierki. We will remember Mr. Tomasz as a kind, helpful, and always smiling person.
