20th anniversary of IEN-PIB's involvement in the development of the hydrogen economy

On November 15, we had the honor of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute's efforts to develop innovative solutions for the hydrogen economy. Two decades full of groundbreaking projects, cooperation with industry and R&D units, creative challenges and gaining valuable experience have allowed us to build a leadership position in this rapidly developing field.

Our beginnings and the road to success

Together with the Center for Hydrogen Technologies (CTH2) team, we recalled our beginnings - from the first pioneering trials to the significant successes that have become part of the Institute's history. The development of hydrogen technologies around the world over the past 20 years has created space for innovation, and our work has become an important part of this global process.

We are opening the door to a sustainable future

With our expertise and commitment, we are constantly working on projects that address key challenges of today, such as decarbonization, energy storage and energy transition. We are proud to contribute to building a sustainable future based on clean energy, and we are looking ahead to more innovations.

Key moments of the event

The celebration began with an inspiring speech by Prof. Jaroslaw Milewski of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology entitled “Hydrogen. “Why Hydrogen?”, which highlighted the importance of this technology in the energy transition.

The event was attended by representatives of all the units that make up the Center for Hydrogen Technologies (CTH2), which has been operating since 2020 as the first unit of its kind in Poland.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported our activities over the years. There are more challenges ahead, which we believe will bring even more innovation and inspiration! Together we are building a cleaner and more sustainable future.
