The Institute of Power Engineering received official information from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management about the final approval of the project settlement application entitled "Increasing the energy efficiency of the Warsaw building of the Power Engineering".
The Institute of Power Engineering received official information from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management about the final approval of the project settlement application entitled "Increasing the energy efficiency of the Warsaw building of the Power Engineering".
The seat of the Institute in Warsaw has undergone a thorough thermal modernization in order to increase the energy efficiency of the building. In addition to the most important factors, such as reducing the consumption of heat and electricity, or ensuring that a part of the building's annual electricity demand is covered independently, evacuation safety has been improved, and the building itself has gained a new look and finish. The project was co-financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

Realization: 2019-2021
Scope of works performed as part of the investment:
Construction work:
- insulation of external walls and plinth walls of basements along with decorative plastering on the staircase,
- roof insulation with superstructures over staircases and engine rooms,
- replacement of glass blocks for brick walls in the staircase,
- replacement of windows in the stairwell with fire protection windows,
- replacement of all external doors, including the door to the overhead crane,
- modernization of the main entrance to the building.
Sanitary works:
- replacement of a 4-function heat node,
- replacement of the central heating installation,
- replacement of the hot water installation
Electrical work:
- replacement of all lighting fixtures with LED,
- construction of a photovoltaic installation on the roof,
- execution of additional grounding for MAP,
- building illumination.
