New paper, entitled On-line fan mill wear control - as a tool to reduce production costs, co-authored by the IEN’s employees Jarosław Hercog and Mirosław Malinowski, has been published in the INSTAL journal (70 pts. MEiN).
The Monitoring system for fan mills intended for direct application in a power plant system, in the form of software that is a tool supporting safe operation, consumption control, as well as in the field of repair planning, has been presented in the paper. The software performs the following operational functions for each mill: online calculation of the remaining lifetime of beater mill unit, forecast of further, safe operation and the expected date of repair, as well as archiving and visualization of selected device operating parameters and wear factors in operational periods. Also, the assumptions and results of the algorithm used, as well as experience from the operation of the software has been presented in the paper.
The ADM fan mill diagnostics application has been operating in the power plant since 2019 and covers all operating mills. The application is designed to support the work of both repair services and material management and can be used for evaluation and statistical analysis based on historical data from the periods of mill operation collected from the beginning of its operation. Comparative analysis carried out on selected mills confirmed both the correctness of wear calculations and predictions in terms of further operation.
