With deep regret and sadness, we inform you that Mr Zdzisław Celiński, PhD., Director of the Radom Branch of the Heating and Sanitary Technology - Institute of Power Engineering from 2008 to 2020, passed away on 11.09.2024.
Prior to the incorporation of the Radom Branch of Heating and Sanitary Technology into the Institute of Power Engineering, Zdzisław Celiński, PhD was Head of the ITGiS, while at the same time he was an academic staff member employed as an assistant professor. As a research worker, Dr Celiński dealt with the issue of increasing the durability of machine parts and tools, mainly by plasma and electrochemical methods. Since 2000, he has dealt with environmental protection, especially techniques for the enrichment of activated sludge of biological wastewater treatment plants and the disposal of liquid production waste by electrocoagulation.
For his achievements in professional work, Mr Celiński has been repeatedly awarded and honoured with, among others, the Silver Cross of Merit, the Award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the 3rd degree for the development and implementation of the electrocoagulation method of hard coating. He was the author and co-author of numerous scientific and technical publications and over a dozen patents, several of which are used in industrial practice.
We will certainly remember Eng. Zdzisław Celiński, PhD as a very dedicated and consistent employee, whose main objective was the good of the OTGiS Branch in Radom.
