We are pleased to announce that Poland's candidature to organise the 21st edition of the international HYPOTHESIS conference, submitted by IPE-NRI in cooperation with the Warsaw University of Technology, has been accepted. The event will take place in 2026 in Warsaw.

HYPOTHESIS (Hydrogen Power Theoretical and Engineering Solutions International Symposium) is an annual event aimed at sharing the latest research results and applications related to the role of hydrogen and related technologies in the entire chain - from renewable energy sources to end users.

The success of our application, proves that Poland's position and our hydrogen ecosystem, of which the Institute together with the Center for Hydrogen Technologies (CTH2) is also a part, are recognised internationally. We hope that this event will become a space for presenting the results of scientific and R&D projects, industrial works and implementations and strategies related to hydrogenisation of companies, regions and countries. HYPOTHESIS provides a unique platform for networking and, in scientific terms, it is always accompanied by special issues of high-impact journals - this brings together academia, research, industry and representatives of the administration, says Prof. Jakub Kupecki, Director of the Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute.

The agreement concerning the organisation of HYPOTHESIS XXI in Warsaw was signed, during the 19th edition of the event taking place in Japan, by Prof. Giuseppe Spazzafumo, coordinator of the HYPOTHESIS conference series, and Jakub Kupecki, who will assume the position of conference chairman.
