On June 6, 2024, the 21st International Oil and Gas 2024 Conference and Exhibition took place.

Oil and Gas is an event organized by the Warsaw Fair Board S.A., the aim of which is to exchange experiences in the field of issues related to energy transformation and energy security of Poland, as well as on the directions of transformation of the gas sector, challenges of the Polish nuclear program, technologies for oil and gas and geopolitics of energy resources.

As the Institute of Energy - National Research Institute, we had the pleasure of becoming a substantive partner of this year's edition of the event, in which the Deputy Director for Economics, Dr. Grzegorz Tchorek, prof. IPE-NRI, took part.

During the conference, many discussion sessions were held. One of them, devoted to technologies for the gas sector, was attended by the Deputy Director for Economics, Dr. Grzegorz Tchorek, prof. IPE-NRI.

The 21st edition of the Oil and Gas conference provided an opportunity to present the IPE-NRI position on energy transformation scenarios with the participation of gas in the energy mix. Participation in the panel "Directions of transformation of the gas sector" also allowed for the presentation of the position in the discussion on the evolution of natural gas in energy policy, but also the role of decarbonized gases - i.e. biogas, biomethane and hydrogen - says Deputy Director for Economic Affairs, Dr. Hab. Grzegorz Tchorek, prof. IPE-NRI.
