On May 16-17, 2024, the 17th scientific and technical conference entitled Modern Heating - Fuel Transformation was held in Brenna.
The event integrating the industry of manufacturers of individual heating devices was organized by the Institute of Fuel and Energy Technology together with the Institute of Energy and the World of Fireplaces, Kominki.org, KOMINKI PRO .
The conference covered the following main topics on:
- the impact of the fuel transition and legislative changes on the industry,
- provisions of the Anti-Smog Resolutions in the context of requirements for 0.5-1 MW appliances,
- new requirements and legislative changes,
- practical and legally required approach to CE marking of products,
- subsidy and control programs for heating appliances placed on the market,
- the new range of low-emission fuels,
- central heating boilers, local space heaters and bio-fireplaces.
On the first day of the Conference, a lecture entitled Prospects for the development of biomass boiler plant technology with a capacity of up to 1 MW towards multi-fuel units was given by Deputy Director for Cooperation and Development of IEN - PIB Dr. Jarosław Hercog, Eng. On the second day, Artur Zając Deputy Head of the Department of Power Equipment Research gave a lecture entitled Residential solid fuel burning appliances - manufacturer's responsibilities, testing procedures and harmonization.
Thanks to the high turnout of our friends, colleagues and customers, the conference provided a balanced and forward-looking forum for the exchange of the latest knowledge and practical experience relevant to representatives of the boiler and fireplace industry, as well as the biomass and coal solid fuel industry.
During the two-day conference, the FIREPLACE OF THE YEAR 2024 awards were presented by the magazine Świat Kominków, for the best products, companies and events in the fireplace industry.
