On November 14-15 the VII National Conference of Young Power Engineers took place, which was organized by the Scientific Circle of Power Engineers of the Warsaw University of Technology, and the Institute of Power Engineering was one of the partners of the event.
On the first day of the conference, students and graduates of the university from all over Poland, including employees of the Institute of Power Engineering, gave lectures on the broadly understood energy sector. The presentations of our employees concerned the use of hydrogen as a carrier for storing electricity, the use of ammonia as a hydrogen carrier in the transport sector and the role of power-to-x technology in the energy transition.
IEn employees also presented 3 speeches:
- Agnieszka Kamińska (CPE), Electrolyser and fuel cells of the PEM type as a storage of electricity from a photovoltaic installation
- Krystian Machaj (CPE), Application of green ammonia as a hydrogen carrier in the transport industry
- Maciej Bąkała (CPE), The role of Power-to-X technology in the transformation of the energy system
On the second day of the conference discussion panels were held in which representatives of companies related to the energy industry, as well as representatives of science took part. The participants of the talks discussed about the construction of nuclear power plants in Poland, energy storage and modern power system, as well as electromobility. In one of the panels entitled "Hydrogen in the energy sector – why is it worth betting on it? " was attended by employees of the Institute - Konrad Motyliński (CPE) and Szymon Wiatr (CPC).
