The 19th edition of the Polish Wind Energy Association PSEW 2024 Conference was held in Swinoujscie on June 4-6, 2024.
The Polish Wind Energy Association Conference is the largest industry event in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to wind energy. The conference is dedicated to renewable energy sources and energy market development in terms of implementation and operation of RES technologies in Poland. The event enables the exchange of experience and discussion of the use of renewable energy sources in the national economy and the environmental benefits of the transition to a low-carbon economy.
The event was attended by representatives of the Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute Director Professor Jakub Kupecki, PhD, Deputy Director for Cooperation and Development Jarosław Hercog, PhD, Director of the Gdańsk Branch Michał Izdebski, PhD, as well as Marek Stefański, Tomasz Ogryczak, Jacek Jemielity.
During the event, the Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute presented, among other things, a LEGO mock-up containing the most important elements of a modern, contemporary power system, i.e. offshore wind turbine (OWT), offshore substation (OSS), offshore wind farm vessel (OSV), energy storage (BESS), electrolyzer (SOE) and hydrogen car, as well as a stack of solid oxide electrochemical cells that can work as a generator of electricity and heat, i.e. operate in SOFC fuel cell mode or in electrolyzer mode as a SOE hydrogen generator. This year's conference was an ideal opportunity to talk about the development of grids, storage systems and new solutions for power generation and industry.
PSEW is one of the most important events when it comes to renewable energy. The conference brings together the entire industry, and is an opportunity to take stock of the past year and outline prospects for the coming months. Being here, we join in these activities, meet our business partners and establish new relations, presenting the Institute's offer,” says IPE-NRI Director Prof. Jakub Kupecki.
