The Measuring Apparatus Laboratory provides calibration services of measuring instruments in the scope of temperature, pressure, humidity and electrical quantities DC and m. c. The Accreditation Certificate AP 013 and the Scope of Accreditation AP 013 can be confirmed on the website of the Polish Centre for Accreditation www.pca.gov.pl.

The customer undertakes to deliver and collect the measuring instruments at his own cost and risk. The delivered instruments should be operational and complete.

The measuring instruments should be delivered to the address: Institute of Power Engineering Research Institute, Measuring Apparatus Laboratory, 36 Augustówka Street, 02-981 Warsaw between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m., floor III, room 315A.

A customer together with an object to be calibrated should deliver an order with a clearly defined scope of the service, in which it specifies, among others: the scope of calibration or measurement points, the customer's data for issuing an invoice, the user's data to be included on the calibration certificate (if different from the customer's), the contact person for the calibration object, as well as the method of its acceptance, the decision-making principle if it orders the confirmation of compliance of the calibration results with the specification or the requirement. If the calibration objects are to be collected through a courier company, the Principal shall specify in the order the name of the company and the number of the contract concluded with it.

The Measuring Apparatus Laboratory carries out calibration of measuring instruments in accordance with the procedures and instructions in force:

  • Instruction T/I 1/MAP Calibration of thermoelectric sensors and thermocouples,
  • Instruction T/I 2/MAP Calibration of resistance sensors,
  • Instruction T/I 6/MAP Calibration of temperature measurement and simulation instruments,
  • Instruction T/I 8/MAP Calibration of glass thermometers,
  • Instruction T/I 9/MAP Calibration of thermometers,
  • Instruction T/I 10/MAP Calibration of temperature maintenance objects,
  • Instruction T/I 11/MAP Calibration of thermostatic and climate chambers,
  • Instruction T/I 12/MAP Calibration of temperature calibrators,
  • Instruction T/I 13/MAP Calibration of pyrometers and thermal imaging cameras,
  • Instruction T/I 14/MAP Calibration of liquid thermostats,
  • Procedure P4/MAP Calibration of apparatus for the measurement of temperature, pressure, electrical quantities and humidity on objects,
  • Procedure W1/MAP Calibration of humidity measuring instruments,
  • Procedure W2/MAP Calibration of instruments for measurement of dew point temperature,
  • Procedure W3/MAP ‘Calibration of dew point hygrometers using a dew point/frost generator’,
  • Instruction C/I 1/MAP Calibration of pointer pressure gauges,

  • In the event that the instrument is found to be faulty, the Laboratory will withdraw from the calibration, of which it will inform the Customer. A statement will be issued and a fee of PLN 100 + 23 % VAT will be charged.

Completion of the service will be confirmed by issuing a calibration certificate including measurement consistency, measurement results and measurement uncertainty.

The laboratory shall make a determination of compliance with a specification or requirement on behalf of the Employer.

The decision rule must be agreed with the Principal and confirmed in writing.

As standard, the Laboratory adopts the decision rule as a non-binary band conformity statement according to the guidelines of document ILAC G8:09/2019 ‘Guidance on decision rules and conformity statements’.

The standard deadline for the service is 15 working days from the date of delivery of the instrument with the order.

Upon completion of the service, a transfer invoice will be issued with a payment term of 21 days from the date of the invoice or as agreed with the ordering party.

The Institute of Power Engineering does not take responsibility for damage to the calibrated measuring instruments, except for the situation when they result from negligence or omissions committed by the staff of the Measurement Apparatus Laboratory during the execution of the order.

Complaints concerning the services provided should be addressed to the Manager of the Measurement Apparatus Laboratory and will be dealt with in accordance with the system procedure in force.
