What is the Radiators and Fittings Testing Laboratory?
The Radiators and Fittings Testing Laboratory is the only accredited and notified Laboratory in Poland carrying out the process of assessing the performance characteristics (AVCP) of central heating radiators according to the harmonised standard PN-EN 442-1:2015-02 in System 3, as well as performing tests on thermostatic valves as part of the assessment of performance characteristics in System 3 according to the harmonised standard PN-EN 215:2020-01.
The Laboratory includes:
- Testing Station for Central Heating Radiators
- Testing Station for Central Heating and Water Supply Fittings
Accreditations and authorisations
The laboratory has an accreditation certificate No. AB 143 of the Polish Centre for Accreditation - registration card, while the Power Engineering Institute - National Research Institute has the status of notified body No. 1452 for carrying out the process of assessing the constancy of performance of central heating radiators according to the harmonised standard EN 442-1. Under accreditation and notification No. 1452, the assessment and verification of constancy of performance of products (AVCP Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance, system3) is carried out according to Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011. (CPR) establishing harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products and repealing Council Directive 89/106/EEC.
The IEN-PIB test reports entitle manufacturers to issue a mandatory Declaration of Performance in order to allow central heating radiators and thermostatic valves to be marketed in the domestic and European markets under the CE marking.
