The Certification and Inspection Department has been operating on the Polish energy market since 1969, providing inspection services, supervising the testing of the above-mentioned products, within an Inspection Unit, accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA) - No. AK 037.

The Unit acts as a third party, is impartial and independent of interested parties. Conformity assessment is offered in the field of products for use in electrical power engineering, which include such products as: transformers, power cables and wires, insulators, electrical equipment (including: fuses and fuse links), low-voltage and high-voltage switchgear and controlgear, transformers and reactors, equipment for electrical power transmission and distribution networks (including: shielded power cables for overhead lines and their accessories - surge arresters).

Inspection activities are carried out in Poland and other countries. Conformity assessments are carried out according to normative documents of PN, CENELEC, IEC, ANSI/IEEE and international power companies (ENEL, ENEDIS).

Thanks to the supervision of the representatives of the accredited Inspection Unit, tests are recognised as accredited in the processes of assessing the conformity of products in Europe and worldwide (agreements within the international organisations ILAC MRA and EA MLA on mutual recognition of test results).

The Inspection Unit of the IPE-NRI is the first accredited inspection unit in Poland in the field of testing supervision of electrical power products.

Test supervision is carried out on behalf of individual customers, their parent organisations or authorities, in order to provide information on the compliance of inspected products with standards, specifications, etc. Our services are carried out for product testing in factory laboratories or non-accredited testing laboratories when there is a need for third-party certification.

Benefits - The Unit acts as a third party, important features are independence, impartiality and professional judgement. Tests supervised by the Body will be recognised in the certification process of the product in question.

The report can be useful in tender proceedings - an advantage over others.

We offer the following inspection services in accordance with the requirements of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 ‘Conformity assessment. Performance requirements for different types of inspection bodies’.

List of accredited activities carried out within the flexible scope of Inspection Body AK 037.

The accreditation of Poland's first independent Inspection Body in the field of products for use in electrical power engineering raises the profile and competitiveness of our services on the market. Similar foreign bodies with accreditation in this field are e.g. KEMA B.V., CESI S.p.A.
